Dr. Whyte is the Principal Investigator of the NCRRN and Director of Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute and Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. He is trained in PM&R with specialization in traumatic brain injury (TBI), and holds a PhD in experimental psychology. He has received funding from the NIH, NIDRR, the Department of the Army, and several private foundations for his research.

Laurel Buxbaum

Dr. Buxbaum is Director of the Cognition and Action Laboratory at the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute and an Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She holds a Psy.D. in Psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology, and has post-doctoral training in experimental cognitive neuropsychology. She has received funding from the NIH, NIDRR, and James S. McDonnell Foundation.

Dr. Coslett is Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and a long-time consultant to the Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. He is trained in Neurology with specialization in Behavioral Neurology. He has received funding from the NINDS, NIMH, NIDCD and private foundations for his research.

Dr. Detre is the Principal Investigator of the University of Pennsylvania component of the NCRRN and Director of the Center for Functional Neuroimaging at Penn. He is Associate Professor of Neurology and Radiology and has longstanding experience in the development and validation of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and other neuroimaging methods for basic and clinical neuroscience research.

Ruth Fink

Ruth Fink, MA, CCC-SLP, is Clinical Director of MossRehab Aphasia Center and Research Associate of Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. As a clinical researcher specializing in aphasia rehabilitation, she has served as Co-PI and Project Director on federally funded treatment grants in the areas of sentence processing and word retrieval disorders and has also received funding from private foundations for her work in developing and investigating theoretically motivated computer-assisted applications in aphasia rehabilitation.

Tessa Hart

Dr. Hart is Institute Scientist at MRRI, where she directs the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinical Research Laboratory and the NIDRR-funded Moss Traumatic Brain Injury Model System. She is also a co-investigator in the NIH-funded TBI Clinical Trials Network. A clinical neuropsychologist by training, Hart is a Research Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University.

Junghoon Kim

Dr. Kim is Institute Scientist and Director of Clinical Neuroimaging Laboratory at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. He is trained in neurophysiology, experimental psychopathology, and cognitive neuroscience. His main focus of research is neuroimaging of cognitive dysfunctions in various neuropsychiatric conditions. He has been conducting research funded by the Albert Einstein Society, the NIH, and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Daniel Kimberg

University of Pennsylvania

Dr. Kimberg is a member of the Center for Functional Neuroimaging at the University of Pennsylvania, where he directs the data analysis facility and consults on issues in data analysis. He directs the VoxBo project, which is funded via the NIMH-based Human Brain Project to develop tools for the analysis of functional imaging data and for the analysis and databasing of lesion data from patients.

Allen Osman

Allen Osman is a cognitive psychologist who serves as a consultant for the NCRRN. Dr. Osman received his PhD in experimental psychology from the University of Michigan. He is currently a research assistant professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Pennsylvania and an adjunct scientist at the MRRI. His research has been supported by grants from the NIH.

Myrna Schwartz
Myrna F. Schwartz, PhD

Dr. Schwartz is Associate Director of Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute (MRRI) and Research Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She earned a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and received post-doctoral training in Behavioral Neurology/Neuropsychology from the Johns Hopkins Medical School. Dr. Schwartz is co-founder and research director of the Moss Aphasia Center. As Co-Investigator of the NCRRN, Dr. Schwartz heads the Patient Research Registry project.
